Yes the evil bitch is alive and well, Thank you UCSD for the wonderful attention you have given me. My viral load is undetectable and my t-cells have climbed from 240 to 764. I think I am well.

After all the dust has settled here in San Diego I also want to thank Hooboy for helping us out the way he did. BTW IM-Moore I really wasnt a coverup for him after all, lol. I am going to be escorting again so hope you all will support me in any way you can.

Love ya guys

Michael, so glad to see you back here and to know that you are doing wonderfully. I hope things continue to go nowhere but up for you. Your honesty and courage is to be respected.

Michael,

Thanks for letting us know how well you are doing. I was talking to a couple of the other posters here and we were asking about you.

Good luck with your medical regime and all your future endeavours. I hope your medical progress means we get to hear from you more often.

Welcome back! What wonderful news about your health ... and also that you are returning to escorting. I have always admired your looks and your mind....though only from the web. I really hope to get to SD to get together in person.

You are truly a magnificent man.

Ok, I'll bite, why/how are you going to return to escorting? Will you be letting your clients know that you're HIV+? Is there a niche in the escort scene in your area which accepts escorts who are HIV+? I've always been a little bit leary about "safe sex" which is generally my own denial, I practice what I think is "safe sex," but as a client I'd certainly have some qualms about engaging someone who I knew was actually HIV+. Why aren't you considering some other line of work? Wouldn't escorting be equally risky for you, further exposure to the virus, etc., even if you did limit yourself to HIV+ clients, etc.? You're quite a hunky guy, certainly there must be other ways of making a living, sales, personal training, bartending, etc.? Of course, as usual, I've probably missed the whole saga of your illness, and why you must remain an escort. Anyways, I am glad that you're doing well and surviving as we all must...

The one person out of all of the escorts that I have seen in two years announced his sero-conversion in a message thread. So, he has told his clients here, and I assume others will know.

It seems terribly unfair to chastize someone for so doing. The language about denial was interesting, on a personal level. I'm always hoping that everyone is negative, and so far, no escort has ever told me differently. Save SD, and one or two others who mention it on their webpages. I guess that's why everyone has been so supportive of him, plus the fact that we find him interesting, a seemingly nice guy, and one who has admirably handled the hand he was dealt.

At the risk of getting a far too nice persona in this venue, I'm a negative guy who has a positive boyfriend. I love him dearly. I have no qualms about having the most fulfilling sex of my life with him. I would venture to say that your clients will be lucky to have such a hunky guy with such a great attitude. Good luck.

:) and double :-)

Dear Sir.

I can make you a list probably about 10 pages long of hiv + escorts that do not disclose to their clients. Is it right??? Not sure. Is there soemthing you can do to make sure your escort is neg? No. Do people actually lie? um,,,,,,, yeah I am pretty sure they do. As for my risk factor let me clear one thing up, I did not contract my hiv through a client. I contracted it through someone I was dating for 5 months and he OMG lied to me about his status. I have NEVER had unprotected sex with a client or someone I have just met. I cant sit here and try to make you feel better about me escorting, but hey!!! you know already I am poz. SO dont hire me.

Sorry, one more thing, No SAGA on my illness, not looking for sympathy ect. I am wanting to complete my Marketing degree and have decided that I will remain escorting for another year.

Mike...glad to hear that you are doing well. I really admire you for your honesty regarding your HIV status. There's an escort here in Columbus who was a friend of mine until I found out that he was not telling his clients that he was POS. I knew he was positive because I was the first person he told the day he found out. We had discussed

whether or not he should continue escorting. I didn't think it was a very good idea, but he decided to continue. Well, through a few mutual clients of ours I found out that he was not disclosing his status. Not only that, but he had unsafe sex with at least 2 clients.

That was over 2 years ago. He is still escorting according to his most recent review.

I always appreciate it when a client or one of my extremely rare rec

sex partners informs me of their status prior to any sexual activity.

In the long run people will respect you for that honesty. I'm so sick

of this attitude of "if they don't ask, I don't tell". It's total bullshit and has helped in the spread of this disease. I'm sure there is a niche in the escort market for POS escorts. Some clients who are positive may prefer an escort who is POS also and other clients may not care about your status as long as safer sex is practiced.

I wish you the best Michael in your escorting and also in the pursuit

of your degree.:-)

I was poz for 6 months before I found out. Does that mean all my clients that I had are now poz? If that is the case then we have a more serious problem on our hands then we thought. If you have sex with someone and he is poz, you do not contract the virus unless you have had unsafe sex. And for god sakes its 2002, we pretty much have the thing controlled now and I hope you know what safe sex and unsafe sex is.

Michael, I am referring to an escort who KNOWS he is positive, does NOT inform his clients of his status and has unsafe sex with his clients or other sex partners.

>If you have sex with someone and he is poz, you do

>not contract the virus unless you have had unsafe sex.

Or if there's an accident of some sort.

>And for god sakes its 2002, we pretty much have the thing

>sex is.

I certainly know what safer sex and unsafe sex are, but AIDS is still killing and people are continuing to become infected. I've heard people compare it to diabetes, but it's not quite the same. There are some nasty side-effects from the HIV drugs and not everybody responds to treatment the same. If I knew I was positive, I couldn't have sex with someone without informing them of my status. I believe that someone who is positive has a moral obligation to inform their sexual partners of their status. I certainly don't think they should wait until they are asked.

I think many guys who are positive don't tell their sex partners their status because they don't want to ruin their fun. Or, if they are an escort, they don't want to ruin their business. Either way, it's a selfish, uncaring decision.

Michael, are you asking me a question here? If you are, what exactly do you mean? I sense that you are somewhat defensive. My post was one of admiration. I mean, you got on here and told us all. I think that is great. I advised my friend to quit escorting because of his own health. There are so many other things to which we can be exposed as escorts. Flu, pneumonia, STD's, etc.. I just didn't think it was a good choice. Plus, he had his own business so he didn't have to continue working out of necessity. I hope you weren't offended or anything.

Michael, Jeff is trying to support you here! Read what he says until you get his point. As I understand it, he was saying:

1. He admires you for going public with your HIV status.

2. He is very happy that your health is now so good.

3. He supports your decision to resume escorting as a poz escort.

4. He contrasts you with the local escort who was (a) poz and knew it but (b) did not disclose that fact to his clients.

5. Because you took responsibility for your professional behavior as soon as you knew you were poz, Jeff is telling you that he admires you.

What he is not doing, according to my lights anyway, is criticizing, blaming, or scolding you in any way whatsoever. Jeff is being your friend here, and maybe you should reconsider the wisdom of jumping on him like that.
