In your case, MTE, you must rememebr that many (note I did not say ALL) Christian churchs and self identified Christians have a long history of persecuting those that do not believe in the manner in which they dictate.

 

The Southern Baptists in particular are a denomination that was formed over the issue of slavery. They have historically supported slavery, segragation and racism. When I gave my mother a computer, she would send her emails in all caps. It took a few gentle examples to help her understand that it's better to type in dual case.

 

I suggest that perhaps it might be nice to welcome a new poster, especially one who shows up with an offer of assistance of any kind for anyone in this community, rather than concentrating immediately on minor transgressions in style.

 

Caps are only offensive if used to shout on purpose. When someone is new to this stuff, they don't mean anything by it at all. And even today, many, many well-educated men and women are not very familiar with the Internet.

I am not going to take sides but rather state my opinion based on a few small observations. Now I have read a few posts where facts are stated and then ignored by those requesting the facts. They are restated and then ignored again. It's done only to fuck with him and his patience.

A question for you. Are you suggesting that Ethan is the same person trying to throw us off by using all caps? Geez, if anything I would think, based on the original posters words, that he may very well be someone that has been here for a while. I however would never believe that Ethan would make these type of suggestions to himself. If I'm off track then let me know. But other than you suggesting that, there is no reason for you statement regarding the posters choice of typing whatsoever..

If you're a medical doctor, a Psychiatrist, or a Psychologist - which I strongly doubt - then you should have your license(s) immediately revoked. Nothing is more fucking preposterous than some actual doctor coming on-line and publicly offering an unsolicited psychological diagnosis of someone. I believe that doing so violates multiple regulatory guidelines, and is self-evidently repugnant.

 

If your offer of "help" to Ethan were genuine, you would have sent it privately. Instead, you come here, draw attention to yourself, and then prominently and in front of everyone tell Ethan -- someone who never sought your assistance or opinion -- that he's suffering from paranoia and imply that he needs medical help.

 

Wow - that's very generous and responsible of you. Branding him sick in front of as many people you can, specifying the mental illness from which you think he's suffering, and then telling him to get help.

On the other hand, over the years, I've seen people who were new to the Internet make much stranger first posts. And it seems strange that someone would create new false persona and then, on their second post, be offering to contribute to help Jason Reardone.

 

I'd rather take the approach of thinking him legit and be proven wrong than think him an imposter right out of the gate. It's the old 'innocent until proven guilty' thing. :-)
