Daddy is around...Just REALLY Busy

Daddy is still lurking around, I'm just very busy right now. I'm between jobs/contracts right now, and using the spare time to get

some intense programming work (for M4M) in while I have the chance. As a result, I'm slinging code 12-16 hours a day, and running short

on sleep.

 

I do read the posts (at least here) but often don't need to respond because of the kind souls that chime in. Just be warned, it may be a day or two before I take a breather and notice the posts.

The network in general, has been "funky" for last few weeks or so because of some fairly nasty viruses running rampant. While I don't believe that we've been specifically targets for some of the DOS (Denial of Service) attacks, I DO believe that we've suffered slow downs because of them.

 

The server in general is in good shape, and we're only running at about 60% of capacity on the backbone links. However, the load on the server has been creeping up over the last year. Over the next few weeks we'll be implementing changes that will improve performance and I'll be shifting some of the load to other servers.

 

Please be patient as I have to make the changes incrementally (for my sanity's sake).

Good to see you back. I was seriously getting worried about you. Please post every once in a while (if only to BURP :7 ) just to let us know all is well. :-)
