Since I started using IE 5.5, I have to log in to the message center every time I visit it. It used to remember who I was and didn't ask me to log in. What could have changed?

PS: I do have the "remember me" checked!

DH, I'm going to answer because I'm sure Daddy is busy and I hope I am giving you the right answer.

You have to go to your Internet Options and turn COOKIES "ON".

Then, log off, then log on.

From then on, you should be okay...and Daddy, if I'm wrong, feel free to delete this post.

That didn't work...any other suggestions?

Just pragmatically, I have found that, if I log out when done, the Message Center does not remember me when I return, and I have to log in. But when I simply close the window when I'm done, then I am remembered the next time I sign on. Hope this works for you.

(PS-- I'm using IE 5.0 for Macintosh.)

I just upgraded to IE 5.5 and tried login/logout/remember/don't remember. Basically, it all worked. My quess is that it's user error, but is really hard to track remotely. Sorry I can't help more.

I work with high tech stuff, but I'm not half as smart as Daddy.

However, we have a term for certain problems, which I think this may fall under.

It's a BCC problem.

Easily resolved.

Kindest regards,

LAST EDITED ON Nov-27-00 AT 09:59PM (EST)[p]Woodli, I am using IE 5.0 for Mac also. When I leave, I NEVER log out. I just leave and I have to log back in every time.

Before the site went to brown lettering, I was remembered every time.

Could the color be the problem?

PS: My cookie switch is ON.

I'm sorry you are having problems.

The color has nothing to do with it.

However, if you can explain in a VERY DETAILED manner of what your problem is, we can figure it out.

Daddy has upgraded the software, so it may have something to do wiwth that, but we need EVERY detail.

Before the "brown days" I could link to the message center and not have to type in my ID and password.

Nowadays (and I don't REALLY think color was the problem) I have to type both in.

Can you cookie me so I don't have to go through that extra step?

Log OFF, then LOGIN.

That should solve your problem.

Otherwise, I'm handing this over to the genius Daddy.
