A client of mine informed me today that someone named PDXPowertool on a site called barebackcity.com is using my photos as his own.

 

HE IS NOT ME!!!

 

I tried to access the site to check it out, but it won't load. Does anyone know about this site or know how I can contact the webmaster (and the sleazebag that is using my pics?)

 

God knows I believe that however one chooses to live (or imperil) their life with other consenting adults is none of my business. But as an HIV-negative man who intends to stay that way, and as an escort who won't even see clients if I've sneezed that day, this really pisses me off. I DO NOT bareback and anyone who's hired me knows this.

 

I'd appreciate any advice on how to contact these people.

As highly annoying and infuriating as it is, I wouldn't worry about it too much. I've checked out BB City in the past, and even found an escort there who claimed to play only safely when he posted here. Yet none of that ever surfaced and didn't seem to hurt him, although he ultimately did himself in here by other behavior. My advice: don't draw attention to it; most people won't ever know.

Barebackcentral.net is, indeed, pond scum. One of my favorite escorts showed up there and was MORTIFIED when I told him about it. He contacted the webmaster to have his information removed. The webmaster asked for additional photos to prove the escort's identity, which were provided.

 

The ad was removed and two days later a new ad went up using the new photos.

Nope. There is no governing body with jurisdiction over escort advertising standards on the internet. x(

 

The only thing we can really do is expose them, which is another reason THIS site is so valuable.

Words like that I'm sure come easy for some when they are not your pics, I would gladlly sponsor some sort of "governing body" to research this type of thing, For those of us that care how and where we are portrayed things like this are a BIG deal.

As I mentioned on another thread, I usually "check" the bb sight if I am planning on meeting a new escort.

 

On three occasions (on their former site) I found pics of guys with whom I had arranged a date. Their advertisement on the bareback site was slightly different from the normal one (e.g. the one here or on Rentboy or whatever).

 

In one case, I realized very early into our session, the guy was definately (gratefully) a safe player... the second, however, was too ambivalent for me, and so our session was quite tame. The third one scared me. He seemed to be willing to do anything, and this was more surprising as he had a thread here (back a few months) saying his pic was placed there by an enemy.
