Any problems carrying Poppers into Mexico?

You can bring anything into Mexico. There are laws against many things like guns, drugs, food, ammunition, etc. But, you can bring anything, just come with a wad of $10.00 bills.

 

Just kidding.

 

While the new government is trying to erase this legacy, it does exist. Intl airport arrives tend to be a bit more legit than the border crossings.

 

I wouldn't bring poppers due to fact they are flammable. Not a good time to risk that on an aircraft now.

Don't even JOKE about taking guns into Mexico. It's not only illegal, it's enforced, and the penalties are severe. You DON'T want to become familiar with the Mexican criminal justice system, especially when it comes to illegally importing a gun.

 

Poppers: I'm not sure, but usually just about anything that requires a prescription in the U.S. can be bought without one in Mexico. Narcotics and certain tranquilizers are the only exceptions I've ever run into. I've never tried buying poppers at a Mexican drugstore, but my guess is that you can without a prescription. Anyone else have any experience?

I don't care for poppers personally (they are bad for your health).

 

They are not a product sold in a drug store, they are marginally legal, and sold in sex shops.

 

They are quite flammable, that alone is reason not to bring them. I never seem them for sale in Mexico, but sure they can be had.

 

Of course carrying guns into Mexico would be foolish. You can just purchase them very easily once there (not kidding !!!).

Poppers are illegal in Mexico. If you bring it in hide it in another bottle so it can pass as something else and hide that bottle somewhere hard to find mixed in with other stuff. Plus you will not be able to take it into most night clubs as they search you outside...unless you take a bottle small enough to hide in your shoes under your feet. blu
