"Pimpin" seems to be a pretty common description on some younger men's profiles, like those on AOL for example. I, of course, know what it really means...... but it must have a slightly different meaning now a days, no?... Any ideas? }>

Words interest me, so I googled a bit and came up with this:

 

A pimpin guy is not just cool, he is way cool. And, it follows, attractive. As a verb pimpin still has the standard meaning (e.g. "pimpin' hoes and slammin' Cadillacs,") but it can also mean selling or promoting in general. As used by teenagers, it has the additional connotations of flashiness, such as pimpin clothes, and, when used in connection with marital status in AOL profiles, active interest in exploring and acting upon crushes and sexual attraction. The implication being, of course, that the attracted person will be equally pimpin.

LOL.. I say it every day... I am going to "pimp" my ride. Meaning drive it or "sport" it... LOL I say it alot when I see something I like.. Thats pimpin... LMAO I guess I never really thought of it....
