It really depends on what you are looking for and what kind of vacation you want to have. Things I'd recommend would include:

* Take the harbour ferries. They go everywhere. Take them just as a way to see the harbour or to destinations like Manley Beach.

* Take a day trip to the Blue Mountains. There are lots of companies that offer these tours. Look for one with small group sizes (like 20 people or less). You'll have a lot of fun and see things you otherwise would completely miss. It's well worth a day.

* Check out the Stonewall bar. It's a fun place. There are other gay bars located in the same neighborhood, so if you go on a time that Stonewall isn't hopping one of the others might be.

* Spend some time walking about the city. It's very accessible and quite beautiful.

* Splurge on some good meals. Sidney is blessed with access to great foods and restaurants that make good use of it.

Do be wary of the sun. Australia is under a hole in the ozone layer and it's really easy to burn there. Don't bring sunscreen with you. Buy it there. Australian sunscreen is stronger than what we have in the US. Be very careful, especially, when you're out on the water; it's very, very easy to burn.

Have fun,

BG

You will be here during Mardi Gras. It culminates with a parade in front of @ 500,000 people and an all night party. Check it out at

http://www.mardigras.org.au

Not only beaucoup Aussies but tons of blokes from around the world.

Bondi Beach, Bridge Walk, Opera House, read the gay newspapers, boat ride on the harbour. Sing out if you have any specific queries. Cheers!

First of all, do not order "Fosters" or you'll get a strange look. The beer of choice is VB (Victoria Bitter), unless of course you end up in Queensland where they prefer XXXX (pronounced fourex).

Must do: Harbour Bridge climb (expensive but worth it); Oxford Road (great bars, good looking guys); Darling Harbour (if you only have a day in Sydney). If you're a fan of Are You Being Served?, then a visit to Grace Brothers (no kidding) is a must.

For an excellent view of Sydney and Sydney Harbour in the air, ask for left window seat on the plane.

If you goto Bondi and you like thai food, goto Thai Terriffic and see if Somyot the owner is there, I made pretty good friends with him over Christmas.

Also I liked the Sydney City Steam sauna http://www.sydneycitysteam.com.au

My friend that I went on the trip with spent more time there than anywhere.

They get busy during the week around lunchtime and on some days stay busy, like monday I think. They also have a passout card that when you leave you can come back free later the same day.

Also, just a note, a fair number of the guys reviewed under "Australia" have retired...

Knightcall is not too bad a service... http://www.knightcall.com.au

A guy called Tarek (reviewed here) is my current favourite! Try http://www.rentboyaustralia.com/tarek

Try http://www.rentboyaustralia.com - for the listing in Sydney, look to the bottom of the list first and work your way back up - they add the newer listings to the bottom.... Also http://www.gaydar.com.au

Have fun!... A great place - if your into wine - a trip to the Hunter Valley wine country (about 2 hours out of Sydney) is a must!

Mike
