I was there in June this year. I enjoyed it as the hoard of tourists were not there in droves as I am sure they are in Dec. and Jan. I stayed at a very small hotel: Bann Yin Dee It was amazingly nice and classy with beautiful pools and a great view of the city and the bay. http://www.baanyindee.com
