Seul South Korea

I am trying to plan my annual birthday trek. Right now, from my area a trip to Seul So. Korea is incredibly cheap. Half the price of a trip to Sydney or Tokyo (even though I would have to transfer in Tokyo- go figure!). Anyone anve any experience with the scene in Seul. I've been to Thailand twice and may head back at the end of the year when prices come down but really want to go someplace different.
