I am planning a trip to Australia around April of next year if all goes well. I have a few questions, especially about my intended destinattion, Sydney. Is prosititution legal? I ask this as it appears there are some brothels that seem to represent this. Also, what is the age of sexual consent? Last, are Canadian's welcomed or is there a dislike for them as the French tend to dislike Americans? Thanks in advance to those who reply.

I am told prostitution is legal in OZ. As for the Auzzies liking Canuks, I am sure hoping this is the case as I am going there in January, and I am proudly Canadian. Look this is a world of love and passion, and it is time not to use labels or to continue other's to use them. Everyone, regardless of nationality, religion, skin colour, language, or dick size should love one another; well as long as they are turned on by them. At the heart of the matter is one's passion toward another person, not labels or religion, etc. Bonne annee et bon voyage.

Sorry you missed the Olympics, because you would have seen how Sydney welcomed the world to its environs. Think there were some Canadians involved. Now don't go taking offense. That was an Aussie send-up. They/we are known for a wicked sense of humor. That is what you need rather than worry from where you hail.

As Peter Allen said, I am bi-coastal. I grew up in the US but have lived here 26 years. And if they haven't thrown out a Yank, you will be safe.

In NEW South Wales[NSW] prostitution is legal. I think in all states, actually. Age of consent in NSW is 18. Irony, two of the last homophobic states[Tasmanis and Western Australia now have 16.

I did a summary of the last editions of the two gay newspapers here in Sydney for your info.

Number of pictoral ads for escorts was 30, script ads there were 31, erotic masseurs-29, escort agencies-2, Baths-1 and finally "therapeutic masseurs"-46. So you would have a choice of around 100 gentlemen of the evening.

Thanks for the info guys. As for matt I have to leave that to Johnny as I am an alien of sorts, I have been living in the states for the past 12 years or so. One day I will get a green card :-) I can hardly wait to get down there, I hope everything comes together as planned.
