How do I check on new topis in this forum?

I have been away for a while from this site. I am thinking of going to rio and would like to get updated information. Did something happen? Do I have to register to go into this forum?

I have been at this site for a few years now; I have also been at http://www.gaytravelbrazil.com since its inception. You might want to go to the latter to see what you can use as (unfortunately) very few guys write here now!

 

In your using both sites, you should be able to get a pretty good update. If you desire to send me a private e with your queries, that's fine, too, with me!

 

One vast difference is the currency: our dollar is pittance now against the real. Unfortunately, it's 1 dollar to 1.5+ real. Our money doesn't go very far now unless you are blessed with some.

Golly, who are you using for a money changer? The exchange rate for the U.S. dollar is bad but not as bad as you stated in your post.

 

If you are getting only 1.5+ (or near that amount), someone is stealing from you.

 

At the present time, the exchange rate is 1.79 to 1.00 at the ATMs in Rio and Sao Paulo and 1.80 at the cambios. These rates have been fairly consistent for several months.

:-) :-) :-) Honestly, I erred out of my wanting to respond quickly!

When I was in Rio in November, the rate of exchange was around what you indicated. ...sorry for the mistake! :-)
