Escort Director Needs Advice!

I thought I'd let you know that my newest video, Twink Odyssey, premiered at the Hole on Thursday, November 15th. I was also doing a live show there that week as well as the week before with one of the boytoys, Adam Selnick. We both did a knock down job. Now, here's the question: Since I began shooting porn 4 years ago, I have gone through a few different phases. At first, I began shooting amateur porn in Budapest, where I was living at the time. The two videos shot there were strictly jack-off with me coming in to help out the guys when they could not get hard by themselves.

 

During the second phase, as I returned to the USA, I began to shoot more hardcore scenes including fucking. All of this was done with an 8 mm camera.

 

When I moved to a digital camera, alas one chip, I continued to shoot in amateur style, however my recent editing equipment has allowed me to turn those videos into something much better than before.

 

I would suggest that the next phase began when I purchased a 3 chip digital camera and began to edit the videos through my computer. Hence, several videos have recently been made in that way.

 

As one who always wanted to help out models who worked for me, I tried to get them jobs with other directors. Some have called me foolish for this because it gives away the models that I worked so hard to obtain. On the other hand, since I was not paying them that much, I wanted to assist them.

 

Recently, I realized that a few of these directors were really using me to get the models, but gave nothing in return. In fact, they would begin to use those models again and again, making their own work much better in terms of quality of models. As you can start to see my dilemma, I seem to be stuck between a rock and a hard place.

 

On the one hand, I have this unique ability to find a number of hot twinks. I put them in my videos and such like that. On the other hand, I have not really distributed most of my recent films via any other way except for the Internet. I'd like to begin distributing my videos once more, and perhaps I'd be able to pay the actors much more and not have to worry about other directors trying to use these models to their own advantage. However, I seem stumped at how to do this. You see, every time I attempt to sell or distribute videos, people either screw me or attempt to screw me. When I released two of my earlier works through a company in New York, I know for a fact that I was majorly screwed. Some other guys recently offered me a contract, but they wanted to buy my raw footage, obtain the original model release forms, and then sell the edited version that they would compile to a larger company meaning I would get a check when it was actually sold to the other company. I came to the conclusion that if I would go with a deal like that, I'd probably lose my rights to the footage completely. As you can see, this makes me quite skeptical.

 

I know that my stuff is getting better and better, but am afraid that I will still be taken advantage of......so what can I do?
