I am going to rio in June and July and would love to call this guy. Anybody know anything about him?

If you don't need a stove, Odilo's apartment is very comfortable and quiet. (Search through the threads for contact details.) There is a microwave, fridge and coffee-maker.

 

If you need more than that, try the Copacabana Holiday agency at r. Barata Ribeiro, 90 (just a few doors from Odilo's building). That's who I rented from for my current stay. English is spoken. You can also check with Carlo (see threads) or Mike of Miketur. Mike seems to have more apartments in Ipanema and in the Ipanema end of Copacabana, if those areas interest you.

 

There are several other holiday rental agencies in the same area you can check out, also. I haven't tried them so I can't recommend any one in particular.
