Firecat, the fax number is: (21) 2235-7941

I just booked my rooms for next April. I was trying to scan in the business card for the hotel but, all of the sudden it's not working, so here is the complete info:

Hotel Atlantico, Fua Siqueira Campos, 90 Tel 21-2548-0011

email : [email protected]

Website: http://www.atlanticocopacabana.com.br

Ask for one of the corner suite rooms, those that end in 01 or 09

(like 901, 1009, 1201, 1209, etc.) they only have 12 floors, so get on the floors 9 and up.

There are 13 floors, for I stayed in 1308, a room of which I was most pleased. I presume there is 1309 (a corner room) which is the suite on the floor. While I was there, the hotel (as a whole) was quiet. I ran into the maid (once). We both cracked up when communication became a little much. At breakfast-- the restaurant was never really full, and the food was palatable. During my stay I only had one or two meals per day. I had no appetite, and I didn't mind it. Did eat a few snacks from the mini bar and drank the water (only), but I purchased my own juice and water from a store which is on the same street (Tonero) as Estacao, nearest the hotel.

Men, if you want an excellent photo of Christo the Redeemer from this hotel (HOTEL ATLANTICO), walk out of the doors and turn your head to the right and up; it's there in all of its splendor and from another perspective. (Thought I'd chime in here for what it is worth!)

Sorry...13 floors, one thing about this board , no matter how insignificant your error or ommission is , some queen, is ready to jump and correct you, as if 12 or 13 makes any difference in what we are talking about! although I thought the pool on the roof top was the 13th. I remember the elevator only going to 12 and you had to walk up a flight of stairs to the pool level.

How do you post a picture on here, I can't figure it out!! I have a pic taken that the "boy" pictured has given permission to post. But I can't "drag or attach it" like I can when I do email! I have Windows XP! thanks

If the picture doesn't reside on a server, with its own URL, there's no way to post it in the message center. If you have uploaded the photo (for example, to a website of your own) and it's in JPG format, just copy and paste the complete URL into the text of your message. The photo should appear in the message when it's viewed.

If the picture is on your own hard disk, it can't be posted to the message center. However, you can write a review of the guy and then e-mail the photo to HooBoy as an attachment (referencing the review you've written) and he can attach the photo to the review. Of course, that isn't instantaneous.

Guys, i resurrected this post as i have been getting A lot of private emails requesting info from first time visitors to Rio, asking: about hotels(Atlantico), Which saunas are the best, What do the boys do, How do you pay them, Overnights, etc., etc. Alot of, if not most of these questions are answered here in this thread(it's kinda lengthy but worth the reading(IMHO) or in the previous archieved posts from Oct/01, April/02 and Aug/02 who this helps those of you who are going for the first time!! Just know that when i go in April this year, Dalton is MINE Full Time!!! LOL Tom

Dalton

Yes but will that innocence be tarnished by then, be it be a case of a hardened pro now. (and what about Dalton).

Think its time for a RIO FAQ to be started maybe and posted once and a while?

RE: Rio Experiences

Newbies should also read the Brazilian Saunas review, under Escort Reviews (and then under Mexico & South America). Especially the first, semi-world-famous one which kind of started this whole ball rolling. Things are described there in detail, and the other information on the board kind of builds from there.

RE: Dalton

Driver, don't kid yourself, Dalton was a hardened Pro when i met him the week before you where there! He acts the part well(as most of them do and that is part of the fantasy down there) I never wanted him for his "innocense", but rather for that handsome face, great lips, beautiful butt and Big Dick! LOL I would say about 60% or better of the guys i met when i first went in Oct of 2001 where still there working in roger's, 117 and Estacio in Oct. 2002, I know for a fact Dalton wasn't working at the saunas in Aug of 2002, when i was there, but he learned the routine fast! I have actually been in contact with him the last couple of months and he says he will be there in April, if not, there are always new guys!
