Rio rt excluding taxes from Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, D.C., Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, San Diego, San Francisco, and St.Louis is a mere $425.00. All tickets must be purchased by 03 September, and travel must be taken or made by 03 March '03. Travel is NOT VALID from 15-23 of Decemer or 02-15 January '03.

One I've used in the past, although to Europe, is http://www.supersmartflyer.com They are honest and have been around for awhile. I've never used them to S. America so I can't vouch that they're the cheapest, but people who're interested should check them out. When I inquired, I think flights to Brazil from SF were around $2700-2900 and a thousand more for 1st class.
