Does anyone have any experience with the Amigos Resort in the Puerto Plata area of the DR. I guess it is a beach resort recently reincarnated as an all-inclusive year round gay and lesbian resort. It looks good on its web site and it sounds like a very reasonable vacation.

If you have been there, how good is it? Do they allow locals to visit you while you are staying there? Any specific recommendations anyone could make would be appreciated. We are planning to go to the D.R. in April. If we stay there I will post my impressions back to this board.
