Has anyone information on Zurich and Patagonya sauna ? How much is it there ? Any other places of interest ? Thks

Haven't been there for nearly three years. Spring of 2003. Very very clean. Nice people at the desk. Some snack foods. Drinks available. Regular saunas downstairs with a longe to cruise and chat with whoever. Check out the goods downstairs, negotiate as well. Then upstairs to do whatever with an escorts with free cabines that are kept very clean. Also in attendance are many very good-looking regular gents just interested in hooking up with no charges. Many very nbice bars right in the vicinity as well. Very busy in the late afternoon through early evening when the working boys head down the street to the rent bar to continue business and look for an overnight date. Prices not bad considering this is Zurich. Boys from Germany, a couple hotties from the old Yugoslavia/now Serbia, Swiss, Italy and "Hungary/Romania", one or two from the Baltics as well.

Surely someone out there has had recent experience of the Paragonya Sauna. Any help would be appreciated.

I am going there next week and the only information I managed to get is from boys in Prague. They told me that the current value in Zurich was 100 - 200 CHF, that I do not believe. Of course it is not the most reliable information since the boys who gave it to me are often going to Zurich ... Maybe until the end of next week, one of you will have more info to give me ... Happy new year in the meanwhile.

I checked the http://www.gaysauuner.com.de site yesterday and found only one report in English of the Paragonya Sauna. It was an innocent gent modestly describing himself as "good looking guy of 30" who was taken by surprise as to the nature of the place. He describes the customers as being divided between over 50's and good looking young guys wanting money. This was despite signs, according to him, around the venue stating that prostitution was not allowed. This appears to be fundamental difference between rent boy saunas in Europe as distinct from Brazil. What reports i have read from contributors on various web sites, proprietors of saunas in, for example Spain, do not acknowledge what is going on. From my personal experience of Brazil everyone knows the rules of the game.

 

I will be interested in your report on your return particularly "the going rate"

I spent two nites in Zurich. Here are my comments :

 

Good hotel to stay : Hotel Scheuble (Muhlegasse, 17), right in the center of the gay area. A bit expensive, but internet rates are sometimes low. It is in front of the dynasty club, in front of the wildsau fetish bar, 50m from the Patagonya sauna and in the same street as the Carrousel bar (200 m)

 

The Patagonya sauna is clean - as one might expect from a swiss place - not immaculate, especially the rooms are small and sometimes only consisting in a mattress of the dimension of the cubicle. OK it is free, but could be better.

The best time to go there is between 3 and 6 pm (I noticed and I got information from the barman), maybe a little later on sunday afternoon. Do not go there after 7 pm even though the sauna is open until 11 pm : most of the boys are leaving. The only ones who are not leaving are the ones who consider they did not make enough money and why didn't they make enough money ? Easy ! They were not the best. Of course after 7 pm the prices are decreasing significantly, as much as the quality ..

100 CHF is the normal rate. It certainly depends on the time, on the ratio customers / boys, on .... In some cases, it is difficult to differenciate the oldest boys and the youngest customers ....

There are many boys, but not as many as in Barcelona, to compare with another European sauna, nor in Madrid. The boys are of all origin, many from Asia, some from Brasil, Eastern Europe, Spain, Italy, Turkey. Even France was represented (Vincent alias Jacques Moulin from Strasbourg).

 

Spartacus says that Carrousel is always packed ! Of course it is extremely small. The boys are the same than in the sauna, only difference is that you do not know what you get as precisely as in the sauna. Prices : 200 CHF for one good hour and 500 CHF for overnighter (1 Euros = 1,6 CHF).

The boys are going from one place in Europe to another : I met there Expensive Petr from Prague, Paco from Brasil whom I first met in Barcelona, Vincent from Strasbourg was there...
