Prostitution in Latvia

Call me bizzare, but I'm trying to research the male prostitution scene in Latvia. I've heard one of their main newspapers (in Russian) lists escort advertisements in the back. The majority are straight, but some are gay. Also, some sites have indicated that prostitution is almost entirely organized in Latvia, as opposed to indpendent hustlers.

 

Does anyone else know anything about prostitution in Latvia? Or even the gay scene?

You might try checking out http://www.gay.lv and see if there's anyone there or in a chat someplace on the site who can answer your questions. All I know about prostitution in Latvija is the two hookers below my hotel window one morning when I was there 8 years ago. But I know there must be sex. The hotel put condoms in the wardrobe cabinets. Wonder what the Pope thought about that when he was there a month later. I'm sure he got more use out of the Vaverite candy left on his pillow by the maids.
