Has anyone ever been to VillaGianni? Is it as much of a meat market as it sounds like when you call them?

 

I called to ask about the place and they told me about it in such a way that it sounded like a meat market. Two way mirror, guys on the other side, etc.

 

What's it really like?

I used to work there. It's totally a meat market, but hey it is a brothel: )

basically it's very well put together, clean, nicely decorated comfortable establishment.

And there are tons(usually at least 20) of guys to choose from, and they are dirt cheap!!

Haven't been there, but have been with a few escorts who worked there once upon a time. The fact is that the boys there appreciate tips because they only get 1/2 of the 70 pounds the house charges .... You may be better off with one of the independents advertising in the local press or online (if you want to do the research work) or via an agency (see Gay Times, Boyz, Fluid or Attitude)

I have been there several times in the past 2 years. Matt is correct as it is nice, clean, private and professional. You will be greeted at the door and offered a drink. Then you can look thru a 2 way mirror to see the appetizers. After you pick from the buffet, you are taken to a room upstairs and Mr. Wonderful arrives. Pay on leaving. I cant remember if it was 70 or 100 pounds, and yes, tipping will help you get even more of what they will give you.

 

Now, the only problem I have experienced at this and other London establisments (which I think have all disappeared) is that some of the appetizers are shirtless, and others fully dressed. Since I adore muscles, it is very difficult to know, and the management does not seem to think it can give detailed information on the lenghten of their tenderloin either.

 

So once or twice, Mr. Wonderful has not turned out to be what I hoped upon meeting him in my room. There was never a problem, as I politely explained and another was sent up. The lesson here is to make your first choice and second choice when looking at the buffet.

I used to be a frequent visitor to VillaGianni but stopped going there a year ago. In a way I'm disappointed because I met some very nice boys there.

 

The problem is with the 'hired staff' on the desk. I had rudeness, off-handedness, and blatant lies (such as when looking through the one-way mirror) I asked if a certain boy was active, was told yes, and then an effeminate person comes through the door who was totally unsuitable. As a long term customer I deserved better than that. I later complained to the management but as the person responsible was no longer working there , a bit pointless. I can say that my last six encounters were unsatisfactory and that is purely down to the boys they employ to man the desk. If a particular partner was in charge I found him helpful and friendly and he would help me to choose the right boy for me.

 

A bit sad really, because for someone like me who is still in the closet, VillaGianni was a godsend. I could be in and out having had an enjoyable time with the utmost discretion. There was no need to make an appointement unless I wanted to see a particular boy, and they are open from 12 noon to 2am.

 

I now find the internet a lot easier. I can make contact with the escort via email, ask all relevant questions, have a good idea how he looks and generally find that he turns out to be and does what was expected. Cost wise it works out much the same as visiting VillaGianni.

When you look through the mirror to make your choice, one of the staff is on hand tell you the names, nationality and "preferences" (active, passive or versatile) of the boys you point out. There are no guaranties, but just keep in mind that the service is a bit expensive for just an ordinary massage, and this sort of place needs happy repeat customers to make a profit.

Squaddie, one way to resolve the issue of incorrect information from the front end staff, would be to ask to speak with the boy of choice before engaging him. When I was employed there, there were several occasions when I was called out from 'behind the mirror' to speak with a prospective punter. Just ask direct questions of the lad, make your decision and go up and shag your brains out.

It is called a massage parlour purely for legality reasons. Everyone that works there is willing to do more, though depending on the guy you choose, more may cost ... more. There are a lot of unsavory 'a la cart' boys working there, though not all.

As I mentioned above, ask direct questions about the guys, or better yet, ask to speak directly with them.

Don't forget to tip, I'm usually not an advocate for tipping, though of course when it happens it's appreciated, but in the case of places like Villa Gianni, the guy only recieves 40L for the time you spend with him. The house recieves the rest of the fee. A lot of the non 'a la cart' guys, put a lot of effort into pleasing their clients, and 40L is ridiculously low for quality service.

I visited Villa Gianni several times last September during my last London trip, and had a wonderful time. The staff were helpful -- perhaps their current facilitators don't have the deft touch that I encountered then. At the time of my visit it was thoroughly professional and enjoyable.

 

VG seems to be the latest incarnation of a London specialty -- the fairly upscale apartment with boys behind the window. I have been to at least three other similar places over the years. I have always wondered if the same crowd runs them all, simply shifting to a new locale when necessary.

To my knowledge, all the other places have closed, and I have forgotten their names. But I have a funny story. I was staying at a hotel at Palace Gate and Kensington Road.
