First Timer: Tipping

What's the deal on tipping? Is tipping the exception or the rule? How much? (What percentage?) Does it vary from country to country? I'm going to be trying out a UK escort in January--grateful for any advice.

Throughout Europe, the rule is no tipping is required for good service. Except when you're an American: Europeans have come to expect Americans to be good tippers. Anyone else, tip nothing or maybe ten percent if you're very very happy.

I have used escorts for many years. I tend to have a few rules re tipping.

a) Just about got through but rushed or little care or interest = no tip

b) OK but no enthusiam = no tip

c) Did what was promised, no rushing, an enjoyable time = tip

d) as above but I want to see him again = good tip

I have found through experience if I wanted to see an escort again and I gave a tip it paid dividends on any subsequent visits. However, the chemistry has to be right. I also find that if I treat the escort with respect and as a friend they treat me likewise.
