At first, I thought the phone number belonged to a certain Miami escort agency. So I Googled it to make sure. My first assumption was incorrect, but it did lead me in the direction of ads that have been appearing on Craigslist for a few months with different pictures and they're not the same guy or the same name.

You have to wonder what the real motive is behind the person or persons who posted the fake photos.

(1) Edilson does make a lot more money as a top male model. Edilson did not place the Rentboy advertisment. Whoever placed the advertisement used the photos of Edilson. Therefore, it is mute to conjecture that Edilson would make more money modeling (than "escorting" on Rentboy because he is not escorting on Rentboy.

 

(2) Go to the web address I furnished. Look at the pictures there. Also go to the photos shown on Rentboy. You will clearly see the photos are exactly the same photos shown on the bogus Rentboy posting.

 

The Rentboy advertisement is a bogus post. I guess the person who placed the phony ad on Rentboy is getting a lot of laughs over this stunt.

Thanks for the clarification. I misunderstood your reply, "Actually, it is" to the previous poster. You meant the pics, not the ad. I knew the pics are the same. I had checked them. Too bad! He would have made a nice addition to Ft. Lauderdale options.

My question about how much a male model earns is not really a moot point. It's a separate issue in itself. It may not have relevance to the bogus post, but it is of interest to me in general.

There have been reports of police using rentboy and craigs list for stings. I assume few policemen want their photos passed around as photos of a guy escort. So, it seems likely that they use photos from the internet of good looking guys. If you know or suspect a photo is phony, it seems doubly unwise to contact him. Not the guy you want and maybe a cop.
