Well my question in these situations is: if he's really turned off by the idea of having sex with guys, what does he have no trouble keeping a hard on? It is sad that Cpl. Matt Sanchez aka “Rod Majors” does not have insight into the complete ramifications of his actions. It is shameful that he is not aware of the true impact of the BILE and VENOM that he is spewing about his past life. He is now a RIGHT-WING IDOL. But in his past he was IDOLIZED by many. Maybe both of these are forms of FALSE IDOLIZATION but I think the Gay Porn Idolization is the more HONEST and SINCERE form. He may now think of all his porn viewers as being SLEAZY but there was OFTEN a NAÏVE SWEETNESS in the act of that viewing. And some needed him DESPERATELY to deal with their sexuality. EVERYONE has a DREAM MATE/BOYFRIEND. The guy they want to be with someday. He may now consider his videos purely a CARNAL ACT but for some he may have been an IDEAL and a SALVATION. I can relate to this because in MY YOUTH my DREAM GUY in GAY PORN was J.W. KING. Seeing him “perform” gave me hope that my “type” of guy was out there…somewhere…someday to be found. I saw a VERY BEAUTIFUL and SEXY MAN who was STRONG and POWERFUL in his SEXUALITY. In this way GAY PORN can be LIFE AFFIRMING. Is this wrong? NO! Matt Sanchez aka Rod Majors is a character out of HARRY POTTER

 

I was watching one of the HARRY POTTER MOVIES today on the Family Channel. J.K. Rowley did a GREAT JOB in creating a NEW INTERPRETATION of the ULTIMATE EVIL. Part of what makes VOLDEMORT the ULTIMATE EVIL is that he turns his back on the TRUTH of his PAST, his MUGGLE (Mortal) origins. He changes his name (Tom Marvolo Riddle to Lord Voldemort) to start his focused reign of terror on mankind. VOLDEMONT can NOT face up to his past flawed humanity. He rejects this TRUTH and makes his own origin his sworn enemy. He REBELS and TRIES to DESTROY everything about what he REALLY WAS and IS.

 

I KNOW some of you are wondering where this is going. I am using recent events to point out the BRILLIANCE and TRUTH in J.K. Rowling’s writing and the LESSON we should LEARN from it. I realized that this parallels the story of “Rod Majors to Matt Sanchez.” Tom Riddle was a Star Student in a “Muggle (Human) Tolerant” school whose psyche became so twisted that he became the EVIL that “must not be named (Voldemont).” ROD MAJORS was a PORN STAR whose psyche became so twisted that he became “Conservative Matt Sanchez.” Sanchez TRIES not to name or acknowledge his past but this is impossible. Despite his best efforts he can not erase it, rewrite it or remove it from public consciousness.

 

In this way Sanchez and Voldemort share the same CLASSIC TRAGIC FLAW in their agenda of evil. IF you do not acknowledge, learn from and become empowered by your past it will be your ultimate downfall. In these terms I do see ROD MAJORS/MATT SANCHEZ as a CLASSIC TRAGIC CHARACTER symbolic of our times. And I will admit that this is my fascination with him. However, much like VOLDEMORT he can NOT remain “He Who Must NOT Be Named.”

 

Sanchez has become the PIN-UP PUPPET BOY of the WORST of the RIGHT-WING agenda of EVIL. He acts empowered by this sense of legitimacy. However, this “Mantle of Honor” is based on a core of DISHONESTY. Sanchez must be made to face ALL THE TRUTHS of his past.

 

It is SAD that he is not HONEST about his past. IF he told the GOOD, BAD and FUGLY about his GAY PORN PAST he would get the attention he craves and then others could learn from his story.

 

However, I digress slightly and should focus on the TRAGIC FLAW of his character and how it must be dealt with.

 

VOLDEMORT in HARRY POTTER becomes powerful because he became “he who must NOT be named.” The mystical society willingly looks away and his insidious agenda of evil is allowed to build strength.

 

Sanchez is achieving similar advances. He recently appeared on French Television as a SPOKESMAN ON THE CURRENT ELECTION.

I KNOW many of you think I am OBSESSING about ROD POWERS/MATT SANCHEZ saga. Maybe it is that I am seeing him for what he TRULY is. He is being used as a TOOL by the RIGHT-WING AGENDA to turn back cultural advances. His role is to give a FALSE LEGITIMACY to their arguments. “He had this sinful past and has turned his back on it”…SO, he MUST be telling the RIGHT-WING TRUTH!?!? However, ROD MAJORS/MATT SANCHEZ’s dishonesty about his past is his TRAGIC FLAW. It is mostly venomous, DANGEROUS manipulations that come out of this ‘spokesman” mouth. As a society we must be attentive to his lack of truth and NOT let him fake an air of legitimacy. LEARN from HARRY POTTER. When you take your eye off of EVIL it is allowed to gain ground.
