Can somebody help me out with this! Sorry, totally new on this side of the business. If someone has experienced the modeling world or works there, it would be nice to know your thoughts on the email below, I received a few days ago. I have no idea who this guy is and the name of the agency is not a known names, Totally lost here... Just checking if he is legit:

I think the key phrase is "registration is free". I would think that after you register they would want money for everything else. Any agency that wants money up front is probably some form of a scam. Good companies pay for the clients photo shoots, and I doubt that these people would. There are also a lot of bogus companies that build up false hope, and ask people for money up front for photo shoots etc. These are all scams.

I'm not saying you are ugly or that you are not attractive, you are very handsome, but physically compare yourself to the male models in the industry. A large percentage of models tend to be more than 5'11"

Apparently they scam people out of labor and then fail to pay them.

 

Other links say their "business address" in NYC is vacant.

 

It was "previously" owned by known scammers. Doesn't sound like much has changed.

 

Could be completely legit -- but I'd be hard-pressed to take that bet.
