U.S. Navy photo shows antigay slur on bomb. Click above to see the picture. After complaints from gay organizations, the Associated Press today withdrew a news photograph that showed misspelled graffiti -- "high jack this fags" -- on an airborne bomb bound for Afghanistan.

It's a good thing that it has been withdrawn. Teaching them bad spelling will lead to misunderstanding and world confrontation later when they grow up.

and don't forget the grammar. I think they meant, "Hi, jack this, Fags."

"High Jack This Fags"

Though it doesn't make me feel any better about it, "Fags" in this instance was no doubt used in the unfortunatelty now quite common sense of "Jerks," "Idiots," "F*ckers," etc. High school kids and others of the younger generation use "fag" like others (just as offensively) would say "retard." I'm sure the service man who wrote the slur does not think Afganis are homosexuals. Again, I don't think it's right but, hey, consider the source.
