Hi,

I think this has been asked before, but I don't have the time to try and find the thread. If anyone can direct me to it, I would be very greatful.

Otherwise, where is a good place to stay in SF? I need an hotel that is somewhere in the near vacinity of Union Square.

Somewhere that I can have 'visits' by cute young men without causing a problem.

Rasonable (I love the St. Francis, but don't want to spend that kind of money - would rather spend it on the abovementioned cute young men!).

Also suggestions for 'cute young boys' are welcome! (I would do a smile face, but still don't know how!)

Thanks for the help.

Business is bad in downtown hotels in San Francisco (20-30% vacant), that I am sure can get a good rate almost anywhere. Just call up and bargain. You might try one of the small ones in the area like the Rex or Diva.

And maybe it is just that I'm feeling a bit snarky, but I wonder why you think our time is less valuable than yours. All you have to do is use the search function.

Pissily (but still helpful),

I didn't say more valuable.

But thank you for your suggestions.

Wet Dream,

Could you give N the benefit of the doubt? Search engines can turn up statistics like how much a room costs, or a general description, or maybe even a photo (which could be misleading), but it might be that he values anybody's *experience* rather than their time.

Certainly, the travel guides aren't likely to discuss the hassle factor when guests-of-guests are observed entering or leaving at odd times ...

Now all that being said, I have very little experience being inside of any of the union-square hotels; sorry guys!

If ever there's a use for Priceline, getting a reasonably-priced hotel room in SF is it. Particularly with everybody in a tizzy over travel, you should be able to get a great hotel at a great rate. I have only used Priceline once in my life, and it was for a hotel in SF.

Honcho: I wasn't suggestion that he spend hours on various hotel sites but to use the search engine for this one. One page back in the Lounge (from September 4) is a thread called "Recs on San Francisco" that has lots and lots of hotel suggestions.

Still snarky but still helpful
