I have seen this phrase on the m4msex site, usually given following the guy's stats. I thought I knew most of the abbreviations, but this one stumped me.

I'm not sure exactly what you mean, but HTML uses special "escape sequences" for certain characters which would otherwise have a special meaning - these sequences begin with an ampersand character, and the sequence & followed by the letters amp and a semicolon will normally be replaced by a single & character. You may see sequences like this if you look at the source of an HTML document or, in some cases, if the HTML itself contains errors which may cause the escape sequence to be interpreted incorrectly.

There are two explainations:

First, the amp. for ampercand or "&" discussed above.

Or second, amp is for ampallang which is piercing of the head of the penis. Pretty painful and curious. Looking up ampallang in Google for pictures.

Thanks for the suggestions, but neither seems correct. Here is an example from a profile in m4m4sex.com - note these guys are not necessarily escorts:

VGL 25 LATIN 5 8 150 BR/BR SMOOTH 31 WAIST. LOOKIN 4 A B/F MASCULINE, SPORTY LOOKING & SEXY CUTE. OPEN MIND 4 A 1-ON-1 OR 3 WAY LTR. PREFER LATIN MAN. ENJOY DANCING, GOLF, SWIMMING & SUNNY WEATHER.

A number of guys have this phrase, too many to be with pierced dicks it seems, and clearly not part of HTML language. Any other suggestions on its meaning?

Looks like you just demonstrated that the problem in the original postings *was* badly formatted HTML.

Look carefully at your posting above.

Note that the character sequence & does not appear, but that there *are* two instances of &

I assume that you *did* in fact type in & but since the entire message is processed by an HTML parser in your browser the sequence is (correctly) rendered as a single & character.

The only reason that you can (or, at least, *should* be able to) see the original character sequence in this post is because I actually typed in the appropriate HTML encoding necesaary to produce the result that I wanted.
