New Forum Proposal: Escort Guestbook/Registry

Something struck me this morning, when Jason aka esc105ny posted his intro in the Lounge & Barry moved it to the Deli Forum: There's no place on the MC designated for new escorts, returning veterans and part-time "hobbyists" to introduce themselves, give their region, stats, phone, e-mail, and maybe a link to their home page. Jason was the first escort I've seen take the initiative to introduce himself since I've been coming to the board these last 3 years. Sure there've been others, scattered among the random threads, usually asking a question and incidentally introducing themselves, but what search terms could we use to find them?

 

Sure there's the Deli, but the description says: "An area to discuss escorts" not for escorts to discuss & announce themselves, and guys take these descriptions quite literally. This is a Catch 22: sure there's the review section, but to get there, clients actually have to know the escort exists… Which means we clients have to hunt for escorts on other random sites, or on the flaky undependable craigslist amongst all of the "hoochie mamas".

 

Maybe the answer could be as easy as editing the "Deli" description to something like: "Escort discussions and introductions", but IMHO it would be cleaner to have a dedicated forum kind of like Escort Travels where the new guys could be instructed to put their region-of-interest and perhaps vital stats: new/returning/part-time top/bottom/versatile/oral/massage or whatever. Or maybe just a freeform Escort Introductions "An Area to Meet and Greet the New Guys". Of course you'd probably want to reiterate "no reviews in this section-use the review site" to minimize any bickering or con artistry.

 

It would be great to have such a guestbook here, it would surely drive up ad revenue for the site, and maybe we could ditch ol' CL and stay at home more. You might need a bigger server, and I'd certainly be happy to chip in.

 

Maybe this has come up and there's a good reason you haven't gone this route… It would be a shift in the delicate dynamics of power, to be sure. But it could also be the hallmark of the "new and more gentlemanly MC".

 

I know this is not a democracy around here. It's just a request, guys… It is possible the "other" board could co-opt you on this one, but you guys are the ones with the name recognition. Feedback and "go fuck yourself" requests appreciated…
