Does anyone know any excellent, VERY professional website designers? I've been the victim of an absolutely horrid & unprofessional designer. The basic concept of my website is OK. There are a number of alterations & additions I requested that were never done, and I'd like to push the website a bit more up-market while retaining the fun, young, almost clubby flavor the site already has.

If any of you knows an exceptionally good professional website designer, please contact me at [email protected].

Thanks.

My web guy is awesome. He's designed all my sites. Email me for his name and address at [email protected] Be warned he isn't cheap but then again neither am I :)

I do websites for a living. Can I help you at least pick someone?

(Fair warning, I don't work cheap any more than I'd ask you to work cheap.)

odd... i can't see where i asked for anything cheap in my original posting.

i'll go ahead & thank you both for your efforts, but decline exploring the options due to the extreme condescension & presumption in your postings.

It sometimes still amazes me how many escorts, especially young escorts, are supersensitive about money and any talk about it. If businessmen took the same approach, all commerce would stop.

Don't worry, guys: there was nothing condescending at all about you said. He's just five to ten years too young to know that.

yes, there certainly was outright condescension.

in my posting, i specified that i was looking for excellence and professionalism. NOWHERE did i mention anything about the cost involved or indicate in any fashion whatsoever that i was trying to find something cheap! if ANYONE knows that quality generally commands a hefty sum, it would be be.

why don't you just admit, BG, that i could say "the sky is blue" and you'd find SOME way to contradict me & to hurl insults & epithets?

The Original Post!

Does anyone know any excellent, VERY professional psychiatrists who have not given up hope even for patients who for all practical purposes should have? I've been the victim of an absolutely horrid personality disaster. The basic concept of me is OK but fatally flawed. There are a number of character alterations & social grace additions I requested that proved impossible, and I'd like to acquire some social skills, while retaining the fun, young, definitely playing-in-the-sandbox flavor I already have.

If any of you knows an exceptionally good professional psychiatrist with a lot of patience and a sense of humor, please contact me at whacked-out-most-of-the-time-but--i-wish-i-could-return-to-earth@boi4buxx.com.

Petulantly yours,

DC sweetie, Ever hear of a little blue pill called a Valium? Take one! You'd be amazed at what they do. If you found my response to your question condescending then may I suggest you look up the definition of the word. I was offering to help you with my web designer. As to how much he charges is another story. Take it or leave it sweetie I could care less.

more condescension.

leaving the message center permanently. i asked for excellence & professionalism. i never inquired about YOUR fees, or the expense of a designer.

i don't come here to be treated like a child, nor to be insulted.

You should probably think about leaving the internet permanently as well since you seem incapable of looking at written communication in more than one dimension. You assign motive and react. A fatal flaw in cyber space.

Hun, I don't know what planet you're on right now. There was absolutely no condescending intent on my part. What I said was:

Fair warning, I don't work cheap any more than I'd ask you to work cheap

In other words, it was meant as a suggestion that the working relationship might be one of MUTUAL respect. Of course, with your responses on this thread you've proved that isn't likely.

Since that is the case, don't bother. I don't take on difficult clients.

Guys, will you lay off please. Whatever DCescortBOY's sins or sensitivities, you aren't adding to the level of discourse on this site.

I might also remind those of you who are moderators that you are held to higher standards where tone is concerned. If you have personal issues with posters, you can set an example by taking them offline and keeping them private.

If I can be blunt, I would take one foul mouthed and obnoxious escort on this list over any number of moderators who can't turn the other cheek or who feel they just have to leap into a flame fest.

We are also members of this community and NOT employed by the site owner. Are you suggesting we not offer criticism or take issue to anything posted here? All in all I think we do fairly well considering everthing we end up reading through the queue.

I have no personal issues with the poster. I was responding to a reactive post by someone who has reacted negatively in the past. I admit I was a bit strong but restrained from flaming or name calling. To the credit of DC, he has taken this offline and privately with me and that's where it is now. I'm hoping for some constructive dialogue on both sides.

>If I can be blunt,

You may.....it's an open forum. :-)

I personally don't see where Deej or I lept into a "flame fest", but you and I may have different definitions of flaming. I do know that neither of us called anyone "foul mouthed or obnoxious".

I can only speak for myself but considering the number of posts recently critical of the moderators, I think we have shown restraint and I have a welts on both my cheeks (unfortunately only the facial ones).

Now I have to head off for the w/e. It's Market Days in Chicago's boyztown (Halsted street festival) and I will no doubt be turning my cheeks often with all the eye candy.

Have a good w/e. ;-)

Yet another example whereby the inference is valid, even if the implication was not intended. With all the words we have at our disposal, and no matter how carefully we might choose them, there still can sometimes be a vast difference bewteen what is said and how it is heard.

RE: The Original Post!

It still amazes me how sensitive some people on here are. I try my best when reading a post to realize that the guys that post on this site are all different ages, races,in the closet or out, have sense of humor or not,etc.... Relax and stop being so defensive. PS CAN'T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG ;-)

I wasn't aware of that. Let me check the fine print in the contract .... oh, that's right. There isn't one. ;-)

We're just members of the community who volunteer to pass messages through the message queue and keep the board moving along. In fact, we volunteer because we care about the community and want to see it thrive. In my opinion, EVERY poster on this board has a responsibility to maintain a civil tone, but that doesn't seem to happen.

If DCEscortBoy perceived a condescending tone, I'm very sorry. None was intended. His response was, frankly, over the top and I'll stand by my opinion. And it is exactly that: an opinion. (Yes, we moderators have those too.)

I *am* in the business he was asking about, and I lived in his area for 10 years and still have contacts there. I might have been able to hook him up with someone. I offered him help, and got my outstretched hand bit.

I harbor no personal ill-will against DCEscortBoy. In fact, I've told him privately that we'd probably do business if he wasn't strictly a top. He's a cute guy.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm gonna go ogle the eye candy (and have a beer and a Brat) at the same street fair Barry's going to. It's a lovely day for it too. 80 degrees & sunny. The shirtless circuit boys will no doubt be out in large numbers. :p

DC, I've never hurled anything at you or even talked to you, but I really think neither Sean nor Deej meant anything derogatory toward you and were just trying to help. Lighten up a little. :)

RE: The Original Post!

I'll reply to both Barry and Deej here.

As moderators you are free to express your opinions. What i am concerned about is tone. Both of you were chosen as moderators for (I presume) your tact and good judgement. Whatever his sins, telling an escort that he "should probably think about leaving the internet permanently" is not a demonstration of great tact. Addressing an escort who (rightly or wrongly, and wrongly in this case) thinks he is the victim of condescension, with "Hun," is merely provocative.

If I may explain my "foul-mouthed and obnoxious escort" comment, my point is that most of us value the participation of escorts (including Sean, btw) on this board. Whatever their foibles, I do not think it is a good strategic move for the moderators of the site to bait escorts or get into hissy fights with them publicly. If escorts behave badly here, they pay the price through their pocket books. They don't need to be disciplined by you. If you feel a need to call them to order, do so respectfully and preferably privately.

I would hope that you and the other moderators were selected due to your proven performance of civility. Anyone can push a message through the queue.

As someone mentioned you should be held to a higher standard. Just as a community would hold a higher standard to a volunteer fireman or policeman or cadet. The moderators in fact have a position of power on this message board and must adhere to the the full letter of the law. If you want to be "just a poster in this community" than I suggest you resign as a moderator.

Your cruel and sometimes arrogant tone only serves to create additional problems. Then ganging up on somebody with fellow moderators comes off as very childish.

This thread is not the first example of such ills.

This whole thread is nonsense. Deej, you are a moserator on this this site. That puts in the position of having to be diplomatic and keeping the posters in line. You have no business fueling the fire and adding to this silly discussion. My God !!

Honcho, thanks.

I AM a nice guy, and for the record, I've been told I work cheap.

(but "artsy"? how about "sensitive"?)
