Interesting response to a negative (no show) review. Basically Jack says that because this client had canceled at the last minute a couple of times before, he assumed the client would not show up this time and so he went out to brunch instead of being available for the appointment he made. What's interesting is that Jack did not "own" the pleasure he derived by doing to the client what he apparently felt like the client did to him, but I assume that that must have been the motivation behind setting up an appointment and then deliberately not being there for it. It seems like it would be easy enough for an escort to just politely decline any future attempts by a flakey client (ie, one who has scheduled two previous appointments and not followed through with either of them) instead of scheduling an appointment that the escort has no intent of keeping.

I have nothing against Jack Ryan. I've never met him and have never attempted to contact him. His response just struck me as a confession of an odd way of doing business.

I agree that it was not the best business practice. Perhaps he should have told the client about the previous cancellations and just told him he wasn't interested.

On the other hand, I'm impressed that Mr. Ryan does accept responsibility. So often, escorts seem eager to shift blame wherever they can--"he never confirmed, he smelled bad, it never happened...." and so on. To me, it's quite positive that an escort can admit what happened, take responsibility and apologize. I often learn more about an escort from his response to negative reviews than from the positive reviews. In this case, Mr. Ryan turned a negative towards a positive.
