I have to admit I'd probably have a hard time hiring me, because as a provider I do tend to encourage "scheduled horniness," whereas when I go into client mode it's almost always at the last minute. Both types of scheduling make sense for different reasons, which you summarized well: you can be pickier when you schedule ahead; but if you get lucky a good, spontaneous lay can really hit the spot. I've noticed, though, on the escort side of it that there tends to be a "clumping" effect to spontaneous calls -- several guys phone in the space of a half hour wanting the same window of time. Another factor to consider, is that scheduling in advance tends to change the client/escort balance of power. Last minute escorts tend to be leaner, meaner, hungrier and generally more willing to please than escorts whose schedules permit them to be more selective about clients, and to pack more clients into any given day or week.

 

Similarly, if the scheduling is a function of repeat business with the same escort, sometimes the encounter is less satisfactory not just because "familiarity breeds contempt" but because any routine just tends to become boring over time. Scheduling repeat encounters over time with an escort tends towards the routine, although that does not have to be the case with a lot of work and imagination on both sides.
