Any experiences good or bad with an agency in Washington DC? Saw an ad for one called Tops Referrals (http://www.tops69.com) and another for http://www.thefirmdc.com.

 

Wondering if either or both are worth the efforts?

My statements below are, of course, just my opinions and if other guys want to chime in on this post, then I am sure you will get some varying perspectives on the topic. But, I really don't feel that the agencies in DC are very good. Both from the guys running the agency to the boys working for it. However, I am sure that there are some diamonds in the ruff, so you may get lucky.

 

Tops has been around for quite a while. I, personally, have never worked for them, but I have heard mixed things about their guys. I think the management does its best to provide a good service, but of course, in the end, it is the escort that shows up at your door that is either what you wanted, or not. So, if you go with them, I would try to be as specific as you can about the type of guy you are looking for and what you would like to do with him. However, the person you are speaking with on the phone will probably just say something to the effect of: "You are paying to spend time with the escort and what you do with them is up to you". Which, pretty much relieves the agency of any kind of responsibility for providing what you are asking for.

 

As for the firmdc, they are relatively new to the scene here in DC. The owner sent me an email message and tried to get me to work for them, as he did with several other escorts in DC. I declined, but I see that a couple of other guys are listed on their site. So, I guess they are at least working part time for the agency. But, the same thing applies to these guys as I said above; do your best to relay your likes and dislikes to the guy at the agency answering the phone so you can increase the chances of getting what you are looking for.

 

A couple of other agencies have come and gone in the past two years (capital city boys, the agency, and another one I can't remember the name of right now). I briefly worked for a couple of these when I first started in the biz. However, I quickly realized that most of the decent escorts who were responsible and could handle making their own advertisements, answering the phone and replying to email messages, often worked more independently and only used the agency during slow times or to fill in every now and then. So, I went down the road of being an independent escort and have been very happy every since.

 

Now, I am the one who gets to determine if I would be right for a particular client - not some guy who is running an agency and answering the phone. And, I have a much more vested interest in making sure that things go well on the call, since it will ultimately fall directly on my shoulders if the client is pleased or not.

 

So, in my opinion, you would be much better off perusing the reviews of the escorts in DC listed on this site, than you would taking your chances with one of the agencies. But, if you have already checked through the reviews and didn't see anyone that strikes your fancy, then go ahead and give the agencies a shot. You may end up with a new guy who just hasn't been reviewed on this site before and may be a real catch. Or, you also may end up with someone who is reviewed on this site, favorably or not, and you won't know until he shows up on your doorstep. Some guys really enjoy this kind of "surprise" aspect of it, so if this fits you, then go for it.
