Eric Magyar needs your help - major server problems

Hi,

 

I'm writing to you guys because I have found myself in a big mess regaring my websites. I've used my server company, dreamhost.com for 4 years now without a single problem. On Thursday, April 10th, one of my websites, boytoyvideos.com, was attacked by a robot from an IP in Germany. It stole all the pictures and real media files from the site incurring a cost of over $1600 with an estimated cost of over $5,000. The hosting company will not consider it an attack or a security issue, but rather an excessive use problem. They want me to pay the bandwidth costs (and with only 20 members approximately, that's quite tough to do) and they want me to find a script that I can add to the site that will check the speed with which one downloads files. This was something like 900 per second which is far beyond normal website use. The program would automatically add a deny line to any IP that would take pics and other files too quickly. If anyone knows of such a program, please contact me immediately.

 

The server people already threatened me a few times (maybe they are anti-gay...I am not sure) and told me that they are suspending my account. That means that my escort site, video sites, membership site and adult porn star sites will all be down among others till I can resolve this situation.

 

If someone has ideas, please let me know. I'm quite desperate right now.
