I continue to be amazed at the amount of hidden talent there is? Where do you find these guys? I do not have AOL and never intend to get it. I see many posts, most recently MA about two new discoveries in Dallas, how do you find these guys? Some what jealous, somewhat curious. I read this site a great deal and surf the net a great deal, but still to be missing something??

I usually find new talent in AOL chat rooms. Then if they haven't been reviewed before, I begin a "courtship" with back and forth emails. You can usually weed out the real flakes and scam artists with this routine. After all is said and done, I'll do the hire.

If you are a twink lover like myself, that is a good place to start as most don't have the resources or the know-how to do any more than set up an AOL account and try to advertise that way.

Really the best place to find new talent online is AOL. It is a lot of back and forth with some of these young men. You need to be able to filter through the AOL BS to find the gems. And there are a few gems. I have met two guys in the past two years from AOL chatrooms. Both turned out to be very good experiences and both have gone on to what I would assume to be a decent escorting career. You say you'll never join AOL, if that is the case you really won't be able to find these hidden treasures. Sometimes the hunt is as fun as the date :)

On the techy side - can one join AOL if you have DSL from a provider like SBC PacBell, which puts Netscape on as a default? Does it make any difference?

You can always get AOL through the bring-your-own-access (BYOA) plan. In this case, AOL is not your ISP, so you get a reduced rate: $14.95/month. You access AOL with your ISP providing the basic access. I access AOL through my cable service.

AOL also has deals to provide DSL access in certain areas.

So ... let me get this right....

You pay $14.95/month for access to chat rooms?

I know all about IM, but that's available for free for non-AOL members.

The rest of AOL is ... ummm ... the internet.

If you already have access to the internet, why pay for AOL? (I really am curious!)
