Coffee Maker Advice

May I ask for some advice on coffee makers?

I am not among the modern folk with the fancier coffee makers. 

In fact, I still have a 20 year old Gevalia maker (Swedish) that someone re-gifted to me.  It has an "on" button, no hot plate, an insulated thermal carafe, similar to the video below, except older, and with an alloy steel carafe.  

Over the years I've became attached to it.  Who needs a hot plate?  The Swedes knew!!

I can tell it's near end-of-life, so need to find something to replace it.  Gevalia no longer markets them, and haven't found anything decent on EBay or other "obsolete product" Websites.  

 

        Here is my requirement.

The footprint of my Gevalia fits inside a 9X10 envelope.  Is there such a product out there, with such a small footprint?  I don't need a timer, and preferably no hot plate, just the small footprint.  My counterspace is limited, is why.  It's a 1960s house, with smaller kitchen counter spaces.

Though probably not the recommendation you're looking for - we switched from coffee maker to a French Press about 15 years ago, and never looked back.   

We have two Bodum's:  the smaller is a 2 cup press, the larger an 8 cup.   I replaced the larger glass container once (due to my clumsiness), but generally they're really quite robust.    

We buy FairTrade/ethical ground beans from an online supplier.  Up until a year ago full-strength, but since retiring we mix full with decaf (1:1 mix).   We just leave the press in the kitchen till empty, obviously putting a cup in the microwave later in the morning to reheat...   and the grounds make it onto the compost heap in the garden...

My $15 Black and Decker 4-cup mini from Target has been a daily workhorse for years. Cold filtered water and high-quality freshly-ground beans are the key. I won't get a pod coffee maker because it'd be too easy and I'd be drinking coffee all day. Plus the pod plastic waste and all that.
