Arizona Needs Escorts

Lately, I'm spending most of my time at my 2nd home in Arizona. Really enjoying the life here. Arizona has a thriving gay community, several nice bars and clubs and a growing presence in a conservative state. Previously, I lived in San Francisco.

 

Economically, Arizona isn't in the best of shape, but, things could be worse. Arizona has a thriving tourist economy in the form of people spending winter in warm, sunny Arizona rather than the Frozen North. People of all ages flock here for the glorious winter weather, the golf and other outdoor activities and so forth. Plus, we have the Cactus League, which is the spring training for baseball teams. The cost of living here is quite reasonable.

 

Arizona seems way short on escorts. The Phoenix metro area is one of the ten largest cities in the US. There are a lot of positives here. Why aren't there more escorts? I'm sitting home, alone, on a Saturday night writing this. Tried all day to book an appointment with some of the local talent, everyone who wants to work is booked. And, the better working boys here seem to be getting top dollar for their efforts too.

 

Are any of you California escorts seeing a roll-off in your business? Given the recession, and the bust cycle in Silicon Valley, one might think business in those areas is down a little. How's business for working boys elsewhere around the nation? While it would be disingenuous for escorts to admit economic troubles in a public forum, the escort business does seem to be a tad slow in a few areas.

 

I'd be interested in hearing from some of the Arizona escorts as to whether there are factors in the business here of which I'm not aware. Demand for quality escorts here seems to exceed supply. Seems like a few people ought to consider working in Arizona during the winter and spring to take care of the demand. It is clear that there is unfilled demand here.

I travel to Tucson a lot for business, and there is not much happening here escort wise. Tucson has a lot else going for it, the main one is that its not Phoenix, with its size, traffic and so on.

 

I have also had trouble booking escorts in Phoenix, albeit on short notice.

Assuming you do wind up here, make sure you promote your availability widely. Ads in the Echo and X-Factor, at a minimum. Maybe let the word be known on this site, too. Above all, be sure you let *ME* know!

 

As others have noted, for a city of this size, there aren't a lot of escorts around. Not sure why.

A lot of the younger guys who advertise in the X-Factor are just plain flakey. One of the problems is that they are real selective in only wanting to fool around with other 18-25 year olds who are somehow going to cough up their fees.

 

Meanwhile, there is a club called Crowbar, down on Central. They do an after hours thing on weekends for the >21 crowd. After Hours starts at 1:00 AM, and there are often horny guys cruising the area a couple of hours before After Hours at Crowbar. (There is a reason it is called Hobar by people in the know.) Check out Crowbar, if nothing else, the eye candy is good.

I agree that the escort situation in Arizona is poor. Is it because there aren't people willing to hire? I know there are some good escorts who work out of Phoenix and will sometimes travel to Tucson for an extra fee, but why aren't there many escorts (if any) in Tucson? Hey, this is a city of nearly a million people.

 

I run a male photography studio out of Tucson. We specialize in solo j/o videos of young, inshape guys. I've had great success recruiting models (I've shot over 20 guys in the past eight months). When I'm online recruiting models, I frequently get IM'ed asking if any of my models "escort". I've always stayed away from that, but now I'm thinking about expanding the business to include an escort agency. I've checked into the laws here -- they are allowed, but must be licensed and bonded and all escorts must go through a police background check -- and think it's something that would be worthwhile.

 

Like any other decent agency, I'd have a wide cross-section of types of escorts available.

 

Anyone think this would work? Am I stupid to try this? I'd appreciate your thoughts.

 

And if anyone out there is interested in modeling for Desert Dudes, let me know. No problem if you're an escort (it's good publicity) but we do try and find guys who haven't been in videos before.
