d.anders Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Apparently, the critics disliked it. For whatever reason, this movie, a black comedy, tickled my funny bone, and I thought it was a brilliant effort. The film is written and directed by Jonah Hill, who also plays a Hollywood crisis lawyer (completely unrecognizable). I had no clue the guy was this talented. Keanu Reeves plays Reef Hawk, a prodigy child performer, who once appeared on Johnny Carson. He grew up to become a huge, lovable star. Someone is trying to blackmail him with a video from his drug-addicted past, and he goes on an apology tour in an attempt to reveal the blackmailer. He is desperate to prevent his being cancelled on social media. There are endless cameo performances, and I think all of them are wonderfully played. I loved the script, loved the acting, loved the wit. I have to see this again. If you watch this film, please write back and let me know what you think. Maybe I'm the odd man out.
