Intense crushes

I get one every couple years, and it’s always on a guy I see around regularly but don’t know anything about and is likely straight. I finally found out his last name yesterday and Google told me his profession (if the listing was for him, which I think it is) which makes him slightly more likely to be gay/bi. On the flip side, I found a YouTube video where he’s talking about something that makes him less likely to be gay/bi. The mental gymnastics of this situation make me feel crazy/ridiculous and stalkerish.

Do any of you have similar situations or stories? How do you deal with them?
