ericwinters Posted October 18 Posted October 18 Has anyone had success in the current job market? I’ve recently found myself in an unstable position due to client restructuring, and I’m unsure whether my current contract will survive. Like many of us here, I’ve worked hard and faced challenges—especially around diversity and how employers and clients perceive us. While we’re likely better off today than we were in the ’80s, ’90s, or early 2000s, I never had the financial resources to pursue advanced degrees when I was younger. So here’s my question: has anyone over 50, with deep experience but without advanced degrees or certifications, managed to secure meaningful employment recently? My current gig has lasted nearly 10 years, and I’m scared as hell about losing everything and having to start over. Thanks Y'all!
+ sniper Posted October 18 Posted October 18 I can't comment specifically on your situation, but the insurance industry in general is starved for.talent, and due to the lack of sufficient training data, it's likely a bit more AI- resistant than people think. ericwinters 1
