Chicken tikka masala is widely considered to have been created in the UK, likely in Glasgow (chicken tikka is an authentic Mughal dish with no sauce). Wiki has a line that 'a1998 survey in Britain found that among 48 recipes, the only common ingredient was chicken'. Aamir 1
