Dying for Sex on Hulu

Has anyone else watched this limited series? 

i thought it was tough to stick with. The premise is provocative enough and should provide lots of opportunities for humor and pathos, but I think it tries too hard. It's based on a true story, but it felt a lot like Dead to Me without being as funny.

Michelle Williams is good, as is most of the cast, with the exception of Jenny Slate. I don't understand how she got the job or how she wasn't fired. She's so bad that I ended up fast forwarding through most of her storyline. I'm shallow and I don't like the trend of having an unattractive, talent-free sidekick in every series  

I'm glad I stayed with it because the final episode, although not really in keeping with the rest of the show, was very well done and moving.
