Quite surprised not much mention here in the forum of this AppleTV series with season 5 set to come out later this year. I only came across it cuz I was bored and looking for something new to binge.

It’s a fascinating retelling of history based on the premise that the Soviet Union landed first on the moon and there’s a real space race. Told through the lives of NASA astronauts and workers, the series spans decades starting in 1969 of what might have been. Season 5 will reportedly begin in 2010. The characters are a mix of actual and fiction with great alternate spins on real world events. Enjoyed the conversation between President Teddy Kennedy and the disgraced Richard Nixon when Teddy calls Dick to say he was pardoning him. Dick tells Teddy to fuck off.

They use a lot real historical footage and dub in new words and interesting outcomes. Episodes tackle all the issues of the times.. race, women’s rights, homosexuality will a few “if only” that happened.

At 40 episodes with 10 more to come, not the ultimate binge choice. I’m watching 4-5 episodes a week and am compelled forward.
