Janet Jackson, soon to be 59, has announced she's pulling herself out of the star-studded line-up at this summer's "Cincinnati Music Fest : 2025" scheduled for the end of July.  Jackson was scheduled as the headliner to close out the festival on July 26. The singer cites 'personal matters' for her cancellation.

"To all my Cincinnati Music Festival fans," reads the statement from Jackson. "I'm so sorry that I won't be able to be with you all in July. Some personal matters have come up and I am unable to attend. I look forward to seeing you all soon!"

In the past two decades or so, Jackson has announced tours and concerts which she has canceled regularly due to 'personal matters'. Most times, 'sources close to the situation' have identified those 'personal matters' as 'lower than expected' ticket sales sold in advance, as Jackson's popularity as dwindled in the 21st Century. Where she used to sell-out multiple nights in arenas and stadiums in the 1980s and 1990s, she has been reduced to mostly 'amphitheaters' about a third of the size in the new century (and has had trouble filling those).

Jackson is still scheduled to return to Resorts World Las Vegas in May, to continue her 'residency' which she started New Year's Eve, 2024 and then returned for a week in February before leaving.
