An interesting small movie with Tilda Swinton and Julianne Moore. It's a movie about friendship and a highly-charged sensitive subject. Can't imagine it plans on making a ton of money. It doesn't seem to be your typical Almodóvar movie. The cinematography is outstanding. I wish more movies were shot like this. There is one major hole in the story. If more people see it, maybe we can discuss that here.

I really enjoyed the movie; I thought the relationship between the Tilda Swinton and Julianne Moore characters was interesting, but what I most enjoyed is the bravery of the Swinton character in exercising agency over her life; it is an issue that I have wrestled with professionally and personally.

I saw it in the theater last Fall. It’s kinda quiet and slow, but definitely a beautiful & powerful film, esp w these 2 incredible actresses. I thought it was an interesting choice/direction for Almodovar’s first English-language feature.

I love every movie he's ever made.  Unfortunately, not this one.  Dialogue seemed off.  It's the first time he wrote and English Language movie, maybe that's why?

IMDb lists as co-writer Sigrid Nunez, a born & raised New Yorker with degrees from Barnard and Columbia.  I have to think she could have smoothed out any difficulties or rough spots  Almodóvar had with the script.
