I have had many great experiences in PV, but I’m a bad gay and haven’t spent a lot of time at Mantamar. I know the massages are expensive. A friend of a friend (local) is a manager there, so I will ask him about it.

Talked to my friend, he recommended Cristian, who is a cute jock looking Latino guy, probably mid-20s. Lean with some muscle. He did say while lightly sensual massages happen regularly, true extras at Mantamar may be hard to come by, it’s very much against policy as being a gay establishment they know they face scrutiny and don’t want to risk their business having trouble. It could happen similar to a US spa, but the masseurs have to be very careful.

I don’t understand what they are afraid of? what scrutiny? What business do they risk? They can be open about what they do.

In Mexico, the approach to these things is more relaxed. Prostitution is tolerated and regulated. Escorts are required to have a health ID card, which confirms they undergo regular health check-ups. Additionally, government employees visit establishments offering these services to ensure compliance with health screening regulations.

I can’t explain Mantamar’s choices or how ‘regulation’ is or isn’t enforced. I know brothels aren’t legal…

The only thing I do know is the message to the masseurs from management is “extra service” at Mantamar is a no-no. There are plenty of other places you can get a massage with extras more likely (or all but guaranteed) and for less money. Or you can of course arrange a private service. OR you can go for it and see what you can get accomplished, just have to be discreet.

Mantamar massages are done pretty much in the open public. Any extra would be open for everyone to see.

In order to be in compliance with the local government regulations, they would need to register as a Brothel. Perhaps the owners don't want their hotel and beach club to be the de facto gay Brothel of note in PV. Furthermore because brothels and sex work must be in compliance with local government officials, they probably face scrutiny from those officials because money is not exchanging hands 👐. Additionally in an area where there is a fair amount of money laundering from the Cartel in control of that area they probably have to wind up paying a monthly fee to be in the good graces of the powers that be
