Spa towns?

Hi everyone - I'm wondering if anybody has a recommendation for a spa destination/hotel that won't break the bank?  I know there are some historic spa towns in Central and Eastern Europe, but I don't know anyone who has been to any of them.  Any thoughts on places I might consider?  I'm happy to travel off-season and my main interest is something with at least half-board included and a variety of interesting spa treatments on offer.  Looking to go some time after Xmas and not wanting to spend more than a few hundred dollars a day, if possible.
