gentle scraping to promote mobility & healing”

Scraping?

I’ve had it done several times.

From Google

Scraping massage, also known as Gua Sha, is an ancient Chinese massage technique that involves using a smooth-edged tool to gently scrape the skin.

Benefits: Improves circulation and blood flow, Reduces muscle tension and pain, Breaks down scar tissue and adhesions, Stimulates the lymphatic system, and Promotes detoxification.

Procedure:

They use a specialized scraping tool, typically made of jade or stainless steel, to gently scrape the skin in specific directions.

The strokes are usually downward and away from the heart.

The therapist may apply pressure to target deeper tissues.

Heat may also be used to enhance the treatment.

The therapist applies oil or lotion to the area being treated.

Promotes detoxification.

That’s the problem with Google. It says all kinds of nonsense. Massage can provide various health benefits, but it is not a detoxification treatment. The claim is just marketing junk.
