I thought I would share this story with the group. I'm sure many of you can relate. I visited Denver for the forst time in many years last month. Since Boys-Next-Door has many hot escorts I emailed them and set something up with a particular escort. When i called to confirm in Denver I was told the guy wasn't available. In fact none of the guys on the web site were available. He described a guy who seemed to fit my preferences so i agreed on him. He told me the cost would be $150/hr. I was low on cash so I gave them a credit card number. The escort arrived, was very cute and we had a great time. No problem. Then my credit card bill this month arrived with a charge for $300. When I called to ask about this he told me the $150 was just to show up. All else was extra. I don't have a problem with the fee - i would have agreed to it if asked. What I don't like is that I was being deceived. Neither the agency nor the escort said anything about extras. Now as I go through old listings I see others have had trouble with them too. Live and learn. if anyone is in Denver and uses Boys-Next-Door, ask lots of questions and be careful.

Better advice -- don't use Boys-Next-Door, period...

I have avoided and will continue to avoid them. I think $150 for essentially arranging an introduction via phone is a little steep. THis has to be a low (almost no) overhead operation. Where is the value other than exclusivity to porn stars, if that is your thing.

There are a few independents in Denver, some look interesting (i.e. Jason and Drew).

I used Boys-Next-Door when I was in Denver (Before I knew about this web site) and had a similar experience. I tend to shy away from agengies becuase of my bad time with the first one I used ( i.e. Boys-Next-Door). My would say to stay away as well.

This agency also represents some of the best porn stars in the US. While my experience was not particularly negative because the agency gave the porn star my phone number and he called me the night before. He was new to the area and needed driving direction. He was a great guy. But, there were definitely multiple warning signs that Boys-Next-Door is less than a great

agency. It's surprising that so many porn stars use the agency.

Also, the word on the street in Denver is very negative about the agency.

Why live and learn?

Call your credit card company and tell them the second $150

was added without your permission and have them charge it

back.

THAT will get BND's attention.

ABSOLUTELY. I wouldn't pay the extra $150 and inform them of this. Let them fight it out (I doubt that they would). If your credit card co is like mine, you write an explanation as to why you are not paying this $150 and they in turn check it out with Boys Next Door. If BND are smart, they will just write it off and do nothing. If they decide to persue it, it could be very detrimental to them.

From the stories above, they are NOT a reputable agency and it's time someone did something about it. I would also post a review of them. Maybe with enough bad publicity the porn stars will find someone else to represent them.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-25-01 AT 12:25PM (EST)[p]This is another argument in favor of legalized prostitution. (Yes I know, I'm a dreamer ... but there's always hope!) If this was any other business, you'd be able to file complaints with the Better Business Bureau and Colorado's consumer protection agency. Unfortunately, you can't do that because of the nature of the business (I doubt that an anonymous complaint would be take seriously) and that means Boys-Next-Door can continue to rip people off. Write a review about them. (BND may lose some business, but they probably won't even notice.) More importantly, notify your credit card company that you didn't authorize the additional charges and that you're disputing them. That'll get BND's attention.

I've had mixed experiences with Dan.

The first was when I wanted Brad Hunter. I'm glad that never worked out because it seems he's a loser. Instead, Dan sent Jake Armstrong. Jake was a nice guy, and looks a lot, lot better in real life than in his pics. He didn't put out as much as I was hoping but was content with the lower price Dan quoted. I did not have the impression $$ was going to get anything more.

On another visit through another website (Colorado Men, I think), I found myself talking with Dan again. On two separate days he sent over two young guys I liked. The price was $150 but then came all the extras with extra $$. I paid a little extra with both. For one (who's now on the BND site as Dick James--a really great kisser), that was all he needed to heat up, though he wanted extra to cum; with another, he kept wanting more and more.

I, too, have heard mostly bad about Dan Byers and BND from others.
