The Travel Inn at W42nd Street and 10th Avenue has rooms for about $125 a night - that's pretty "inexpensive" by New York standards - not sure if that is what you were looking for, though.

There are two hotels that you can get for a few hours -- The Deauville Hotel on 29th off Park Avenue and La Semanna, West 24th Street between 5th and 6th. The rooms are about $45-65 for 1-3 hours. They aren't great rooms, but they are clean.

I am staying in NYC now at the Best Western President on 48th between 7th and 8th. The weekday rate is $99./nite for a standard room.

Thanks for the information Bill. Call the Deauville, $50 for 4 hours. I could not find any info the the La Semmena. I let you know what I think of the Deauville next week.

bringing this to the top in hopes that you will report on the Deauville, since I am usually a day visitor to NYC finding a hotel like this would simplify escort meetings for me.

The Deauville is a great place for a rendevous. I met an escort (Erik) there one evening for a date when I was in NY on business. It is clean and cheap. The management (as near as I can tell, a Middle Eastern family) is more interested in the money than what two consenting adults are going to do in the room. They didn't make a big production when two men wanted to rent the room for a few hours. The time I went, the bathroom actually had a couple of small towels and a bar of soap. I know they change the sheets on the bed when you're done. After my date, I had to go back to fetch a pair of glasses I had left behind, and I saw one of the front desk guys changing the sheets. Wish we had a place that convenient at home.

just got back from 2 days at the President Best Western on W. 48th between Broadway and 8th Avenue.

 

$99 for double, $125 for queen. (They were out of doubles so they let me have queen-sized room for $99)

 

Nicely-decorated rooms but very small and with only one bed. No VCR and no premium channels. Very nice rooms, great staff and no questions re. visitors (late-night or otherwise). Right around the corner from Stella's so pick up your hot papi and go.

 

Anyway, I recommend this hotel.

I think it was some where around that price, but I have to confess I don't really remember 'cause I wasn't really pay close attention. I was busy lusting after Erik and wondering how if his package is as big and great as the reviews said. (It was.)

I tried the Deauville on Bill's advice. Nice place, clean, good sized room with a TV and decent bath. It was $50 for 4 hours. The people working there are nice and don't bother you. It was a geat choice and I will definatly stop there again.
