I reached out to him while he was in same town as me; he was leaving.

Few months later, he texted “hi” or some such. I replied and exchanged a few pleasantries where he asked if I wanted to hire. Asked if he was in my town. Silence. Few days later repeat again.

Couple weeks later, same. This time he is in town. Agree on date and donation and then . . . asks how much I am planning on sending as deposit. Declined. He said bye.

A bit odd experience overall. Other than the first ask, he always initiated but gave responses / response times that seemed like I had texted him. Didn’t bother me since he was across the country anyway, but still.
